Tata Group has played a key role in nation-building through institutions like IISc, TISS, and TIFR, and by establishing pioneering healthcare centres like Tata Memorial Hospital and Tata Medical Centre, advancing education, research, and healthcare in India. Tata Indian Institute of Skills (Tata IIS), a Section 8 company, aims to continue this legacy by establishing the Indian Institute of Skills Ahmedabad and Indian Institute of Skills Mumbai. These institutes are being set up through a partnership between the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and the Tata Group. With campuses spanning 4 acres in Mumbai and 20 acres in Ahmedabad, the institutes are designed to provide cutting-edge training in advanced manufacturing, aligned with the Make in India initiative, to equip India's youth with global skills for their careers.
